If you remember from the last episode I had ordered 4 spark plugs and they did not match or fair well in their journey.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

They shipped me 4 new plugs and they arrived yesterday. The package was perfectly sized and the boxes the spark plugs came in were not damaged at all in the shipping.

Unfortunately one of the spark plug boxes was empty. Devoid of plug. Unplugged even.

So LPT do not order spark plugs from Amazon.

*Or*, order spark plugs from somebody that has them in packs of four like RockAuto, so even if the packing job is pants, they’re A. less likely to have been visibly opened, B. not likely to bang around as much, C. protected by *two* layers of cardboard and more structure, and D. will actually match one another. Probably.

That’d also work.

FWIW, I ordered 4 of these from Amazon (shipped and sold by Amazon, not a third-party) and they were delivered fine.

Also E. buy Platinum plugs so they haven’t been hanging around in the $0.99 scum bin with the other scum plugs.

This is why I ignite my gasoline by hand, with artisanal, locally sourced matches. The way God intended.

All the more reason to buy from a local auto parts store.

I’m not going to defend Amazon across the board, but I’ve averaged 15 orders/month for the past couple years with zero error. However, the error rate with non-Amazon-fulfilled items is probably closer to 20%.

The real thing is to light a coal-gas glow tube with hand-distilled naptha soaked into a hand-gathered and half-carded cotton wick, ignited with flint and the highest grade Japanese steel.

I’ve never had any issue prior to this. These are Amazon fulfilled items.

Must have been the night shift. They ran out of meth early. That’s the only possible explanation.

They were so caught up in the shakes that they shook the plug right out of the box.

On the plus side, they were pre-gapped to a tolerance of 1/1,000,000 of an inch. #attentiontodetail
